I was raised in the shadow of the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, always a creative type; forever captivated by all things artistic and aesthetic. Ever since I  can remember, I wanted to be a Makeup Artist. My influences are very diverse: from Kevyn Aucoin’s makeup on the leading ladies of Hollywood and the world's top models, to Rick Baker’s prosthetic designs in Michael Jackson’s Thriller video. All of it ignited a spark in me to create things beautiful and magical - with a bit of excitement.


My education began at the Makeup Academy of Hollywood and the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles. Upon graduation I began working within the television & film industry doing makeup on some of Hollywood’s A-list actors, like Reese Witherspoon, Melissa Gilbert and Terri Hatcher. As exciting and fun as it was to work in this industry, I decided to chase my own fairytale, and followed my (now) husband to Arizona.


After arriving in Arizona, I continued my education and earned my Aestheticians license. Over the past 19 years, I have worked in the Arcadia area of Phoenix perfecting my skills at makeup services, eyelash extensions, eyebrow microblading and other aesthetic services.

I have built my business and very loyal clientele over the years, and in 2022 I knew it was time to open my own space where I could curate an experience for everyone who came in the door - unlike any other in the Valley. In addition to the services that I provide, my Salon offers a full array of hair services performed by exceptionally talented stylists.

My decades of experience in the beauty industry exemplifies my love and dedication to making my guests feel beautiful inside and out! It’s not just the artistic aspect of the job I love, it’s the connections and bonds I make with so many wonderful people.

As an award winning stylist, I’m passionate about using my experience and creativity to bring together a complete look in a professional and sanitary manner. Making everyone I touch feel at ease and fabulous about the way they look is always my goal.

My comprehensive background in the hair and make up industry includes being a salon owner, an educator for Wella/Sebastian, an educator for professional hair and makeup companies, in-house educator, as well as supporting beauty pageants,freelancing for commercials, music videos, and corporate photography and video shoots.

Nicole

As a stylist in the industry for 30 years, 20 of them as a successful salon owner, being able to help a guest feel and look their best while building lifelong friendships along the way, has made this the most rewarding career. Never knowing what a person in your chair might be going through, but having an outcome of them hugging and thanking you at the end of the service while at the same time telling you how much they appreciate you, is the highest reward one can receive in my opinion.

In a world before social media with nothing for people to go off of, I am forever grateful in such a competitive industry that my guests took a leap of faith and entrusted me as their stylist for all their hair care needs at my salon. No matter how knowledgeable or how much I’ve perfected and mastered the art of hair, their continued loyalty and support is was what made me and my career a success.

As I transitioned from the Midwest to Arizona, I am so fortunate to have been hired as the Manager at Sydney G Salon, and at the same time, was welcomed as one of the salons talented stylists.

Being able to continue to work along side some of the best in the industry while simultaneously behind the scenes helping Sydney make her dream even more of a success then it already is, has become my home away from home.

Melissa

I grew up in Buford, Georgia, with a love for creativity and staying active, whether it was through DIY crafts or spending hours watching YouTube videos on hair and makeup techniques. My passion for hairstyling emerged early as I prepared for cheer, gymnastics competitions, dances, and special events. Experimenting with friends’ hair and makeup quickly became something I loved, leading me to pursue it as a career.

My journey began at Penrose Academy in Arizona. I launched my career at Primp and Blow, where I mastered blowouts, updos, wedding styles, and makeup. Later, I trained at an award-winning salon with renowned Wella stylists and educators, while also expanding my skills with Oribe, Kevin Murphy, Unite, and Wella Professional courses.

Today, with years of experience, I’ve happily joined Sydney G Salon, specializing in blondes, lived-in color, balayages, and haircuts.

Outside the salon, I love outdoor adventures, cooking, shopping, traveling, and creating memories with friends and family. My passion lies in making people feel their best, bringing creativity and personal connection to each client’s experience.
